HTC Flyer Tablet to Make Sprint Debut – HTC Evo View 4G

HTC stepped forth into the tablet sector with its unique and lowly HTC Flyer tablet. HTC’s tablet will have its dose of consumer share once its 7-inch tablet makes the carrier market. It was HTC first ever tablet and stands out from the rest of Android tablets with its pen input features plus the orthodox touch screen. Lately, Sprint declared in a statement that it will be holding the Flyer tablet titled as the ‘HTC EVO View 4G,’ in coming summer.

Sadly, the tablet will not support customary Android tablets aka 3.0 Honeycomb, but will run Gingerbread 2.3 instead with the HTC Sense UI upgraded and hence setting a fine line between the interface compatibility of the Flyer and bevy of remaining Android tablets. The NTrig digitizer facilitates both the screen tap and the stylus input for freestyle writing and tapping on screen.

Apart from us liking the Flyer’s exceptional design, portability and power; there is more to the tablet. The brief spec sheet is as follows:

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.5GHz processor
  • 7.7” x 4.4” x 0.5” size at 421.8 grams
  • 1024 x 600 resolution 7 inch screen with pinch-to-zoom
  • In-built 32GB memory plus 1GB RAM; microSD card enabled extendable up to 32GB
  • Android Market access, HTC Sense UI, 2.3 Gingerbread OS

Moreover, the View 4G can access Sprint’s 3G and 4G networks. Yet, the prices are still vague, as Sprint chose not to disclose pricing for the View 4G, but a fixed-price tag may prevail within a contract; as the tradition goes.
