T-Mobile to Ship HTC & Samsung 4G Smartphones

T-Mobile is steadily becoming a more attractive option for consumers with its better plans, fast and reliable HSPA+ 4G network and now a bunch of highly consumer attractive 4G smartphones to land this month. Android phones are all the rage and that coupled with 4G only makes it better.

With the Galaxy S being released last Thursday it became the first ever handset to completely harness the fast 21Mbps mobile broadband network of T-Mobile’s. However June is jam-packed by other released but since we are talking 4G here we can simply dock out the rest except for the HTC Sensation 4G and Samsung Exhibit 4G.

The Exhibit and the Gravity both carry a budget-friendly price tag and sport delightful designs and powerful specs.

The Exhibit 4G is designed in slim candy bar shape with a bottom tuck along the sides that allows it to fit in user’s palm more easily. Apart from the 3.7 inch capacitive touch screen there are three touch controls and a physical ENTER key. It will run on the new Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and will also have Swype functionality.

It is moreover powered by a 1GHz processor, sports a 3-MP rear camera with LED flash, frontal VGA cam with video chat enabled, Wi-Fi calling, HTML browser with Flash, a MicroSD card slot, USB tethering and is to be expected on either 15th or 22nd of June. T-Mobile offers TV services from Samsung Media Hub, movie download, pre-installed Facebook and Twitter apps and native games. Samsung Exhibit 4G will be available for $325 off-contract and will be cheaper in the 2-year contract.

There is also another low-end but equally in-demand and affordable handset named Samsung GT2 or Gravity Touch 2 with $225 off-market price within contract. It support EDGE, run on 800Mhz processor, supports Android 2.2 Froyo on a 3.2-inch screen, have a Full QWERTY keyboard and 3MP rear camera with LED Flash.

June 15 will herald the release of the HTC Sensation 4G, a premium grade device in T-mobile’s 4G holster. The handset will be priced at $199, with a $50 mail-in rebate and in a two-year contract.

HTC’s Sensation will result in a major move of consumers wanting a powerful iPhone alternative and find HTC’s reputation more than sufficing. The iPhone 4 on carriers will soon be shipping out the iOS 5 and that might even the odds out but Android keeps getting better with every new introduction. Some customers are looking for the iPhone 4 to be featured on T-Mobile as well.

The HTC Sensation operates through a 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU plus 768 MB RAM, a 4.3-inch HD display with 940×560p resolution, an 8MP instant-shutter rear camera with LED flash and 1080p video recording, a front-facing VGA camera. The Sensation is preloaded with 1GB internal memory that can be extended up to 32GB.

Dressed on Aluminum and designed in uni-body candy bar design it only measures 0.4 inches thick and weighs an average 5.2 ounces. The software on HTC Sensation is Android 2.3 aka Gingerbread with advanced HTC’s Sense 3.0 UI. Besides the integrated features there is active lock screen and ships with inbuilt HTC Watch providing movies and TV shows for purchase and/or rent and on demand T-Mobile TV. Pre-orders are not in process at the moment for HTC Sensation.
